Movement / Rest / Attention
Movement, rest and time outside are recurring parts of my life. How I approach them keeps changing as my body and circumstances change.

Learning through the body
Yoga teacher training took me away from the familiar path of American college life. It became part of my spiritual and personal development.
Massage therapy training and licensure helped me notice what is not said, read between the lines and attend to the person in front of me.
Some days invite movement; others ask for rest. Living with pain has made that distinction personal. A practice can change.

Beyond a routine
I love being near the lake, watching the light change and having enough quiet to notice where my attention has gone. Nature keeps returning, whatever else is happening in my life.
I am interested in what a person’s whole day feels like: how they move, the rest they need and the people they have time for. My own exploration is not a protocol for someone else.
The habit of listening carries into work. Before deciding what should change, I want to understand the person doing the work and what they are experiencing.
